Bitter almond is one of the most traditional liqueurs in Portugal, produced through original and traditional processes. The use of bitter almonds in liqueur arose in order to avoid the waste of this fruit, since until then only the sweet almond was used. With a mild flavor with intense almond notes, it should be served cold, with ice, resulting in an excellent digestive. It is also used in the composition of several cocktails.
