In 1998, the planting of approximately 1100 hectares of olive groves at Herdade Paço do Conde began, using drip irrigation, and the Cobrançosa, Picual and Arbequina varieties. The demand for high quality motivated the introduction of the aforementioned varieties. The poor precocity and productivity of some varieties is compensated by the superior quality obtained. Intense fruitiness of green olives and leaves, quite complex aroma, balsamic with a touch of apple, green almond and herbs. In the mouth, it has a well-structured and persistent body, with a very balanced spicy and sweet bitterness.
