Quinta das Vargellas Extra Virgin Olive Oil

As well as being one of the most famous wine estates in the world and a producer of exceptional Vintage Port, Quinta de Vargellas is also the source of one of the best olive oils in the Douro. The property’s 3,000 olive trees have been carefully preserved and cared for. Predominantly of the Madural, Verdeal and Cordovil varieties, olive trees can be found throughout the property, where they line the paths that cross the vineyard or form olive groves in areas where there are no vines planted. The oil, which has an exceptionally low acidity, is extracted from the first cold pressing of the olives and is classified as Extra Virgin.
