For years a very popular and popular fish on the Portuguese table, Chaputa( Ray’s Bream ) is a fish with a delicate flavor and very healthy. Today we are fortunately witnessing an increase in demand and appreciation. Chaputa was, along with horse mackerel and sardines, the food base of fishing communities. There are different recipes for this tasty fish, which can be eaten in stews, fried, boiled, grilled and marinated as we suggest here.
