Mogadouro Vinhas Velhas Reserva Red Wine reveals a dark ruby color typical of the local old vineyards. This wine has a unique character, faithful to its terroir, with notes of forest fruits and dark chocolate, combining its great structure with the freshness of a lively and enveloping acidity, giving it great pleasure at the table and great longevity. Vinification: Grapes harvested in September and October 2017. 85% destemming with minimal crushing. Long fermentation in small vats at controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in new and used French oak barrels (Nevers and Vosges, medium toast). Aging for 12 months in new and used French oak barrels (Nevers and Vosges, medium toast), followed by 1 year of minimum aging in bottle.
